Almost full in Outdoor resorts Palm Springs. And a whole whack load of new rigs being driven by the mid 50's crowd. Trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, and a lot of nice new trucks. Many in the 29 to 33 foot length although a surprising amount of 25 foot trailers this year. Things are a changin.
Funny you mention that. Visiting with others today when one of the guys mentioned that the rigs were smaller this year versus past ones.
Also that mid 50's crowd you're talking about, are they there for the whole winter? or just a vacation.
Yeppir. The 35 to 40 footers are not as prevalent. Hmmmm, re the mid 50's crowd being here for the winter. Not sure talked to a few folks already and one couple are here only for a month and the other for 3 months. Too early to tell. This is a very active area and park, not much of a shuffle board crowd here...mostly because we replaced the shuffle board area with a world class gym a few years back. :) Without a doubt the feel of the park is changing. We are here 3 to 5 months of the year and find it kinda changes over the winter as well. Lots of families on holiday weekends, christmas etc. The tennis and golf crowd love this place and of course some of the full timers live here all year around. It will be interesting to watch the changes over the next few years. Lot sales are about average, prices around the 2006 era but slowly climbing. There are a lot less permanently set up fifth wheels than when we bought in here 9 years ago. Its all good and we love it here.
