we are fortunate here in Oregon, especially east of the mighty Cascade Mountains .
We do not need air conditioning in a trailer .
It cools off at night at 1700 ASL to 4200 ASL where we camp . Like a 30 - 40 degree drop . And the humidity is very low .
Our camping friends prefer no hookups when camping .
The unspoken word is no generators .
A couple of them have them but leave them home when camping with our loose group .
We get by using a BIG Jumper cable to hook up our diesel truck batteries to the RV batteries . We turn our rigs around and run the 12 foot HD jumpers so that we are runnin from 4 batteries .
Our trucks get driven every 3rd day and when we return we hook up the jumpers immediately . All 4 batteries tend to equalize and we do not idle our pickups to recharge the RV batteries .We have been using this method over a dozen years .
We do not have solar or a genny .
The refer is the one item that is voltage critical . The propane computer control will shut off the gas if volts get too low .
It works for us and we have a quiet campout .
