Yep. The Generator folks have turned most primitive quiet CGs in to a truck stop like atmosphere. and have chased a lot of us to the more quieter full hookup CGs. But they "can" so they do.
Result is. CGs like Julian Price that stayed full all the time, Are now mostly empty, and run down from lack of use. No one there but a few of the generator crowd. But it only takes one to disturb the entire place.
I don't think generators have anything to do with the emptiness of JP. From our view of camping there a weekend about a month ago is that the upkeep of the roads there are, well non existent. Our reservations initially had us in a loop that would not work. Mainly where there were tents. We are lucky we did not break an axle driving through there. Got to the site and it was a mud pit from all the rain. Went back to the office and asked if we could be in another loop which they allowed us to do. Road was better there, but still in somewhat disrepair. While the tree covered sites are nice, the moss covered picnic tables are not. Also, most of the sites are geared for smaller RV's (25' and under). There are some that larger ones will fit in, but most of them are badly unlevel. Hopefully one of the few sites that are not too unlevel and large enough for those with larger RV's are available. We could not hear the generators of the DP in the same cicle loop as us. We could hear the one across the road from us, but it wasn't obnoxious and it was open frame. The guy ran it a couple hours in the morning and a couple in the evening. Never bothered us once.
