As I said, generators are a necessary evil and the places you mention prove that. There are plenty of places here that require AC too. Even at a mile high Denver hits 100* every year.
Don't think that we go where we do only to avoid the need for AC, it's where we want to be for many reasons. It is nice not being cooped up in the trailer because it hot but the views, wildlife and solitude play a much larger role.
I will say it was a small personal victory when the solar was able to provide even when it was cold and cloudy this last trip. It would have been hard to whine about the 24/7 generator usage if I had to run the Champ in a CG even for a few hours.
