Born and grew up in the Adirondacks and we still spend most Summers Workamping there. Some of our favorite places are Lake George for a lunch cruise on the Lake as well as a Six Flags Theme Park or visit a real sanctioned rodeo nearby in Lake Luzerne. Fort Ticonderoga is a stop to experience one of the finest fort restorations in America. Then there is Lake Placid home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics where you can visit the venues and watch our young hopefuls in training (watching the Summer ski Jumping is a hoot!) That's just a few ideas depending on what you like to do -there is so much more to do and see in the Adirondack Mountains. There are many campgrounds in the Adirondacks and several very good ones around Lake George from which you can take day trips in all directions.
