Adirondack Mountain Camping

We are planning a trip to Acadia Nat'l Park this fall and want to stop somewhere in the Adirondacks. If you have been there do you have any information on attractions, things not to miss, and where you would recommend camping. Thanks in advance. Last year you gave us amazing information about the U.P. of Michigan.
  • It seems like there is a lot to do. We normally do a lot of hiking and like to see local history, crafts, etc. We would probably avoid 6 Flags. Thank you so much, we have a lot to review and decisions to make.

If you like to hike, the Lake Placid KOA (which isn't actually in Lake Placid) has lots of trails you can take in the the Park that you can get to right from the campground. Really enjoyed being able to do that.
