We will be heading back to Missouri From Destin Florida Around May 10Th. Any thoughts on a couple of Corp Parks for 2 or 3 nights each. We will be stopping in the Huntsville area to Visit our Granddau...

Although there are no COE parks in the Huntsville area, there are some other public campground opportunities:
The closest is Monte Sano State Park, about 5 miles east of town.
11 miles south of Huntsville is Ditto Landing Marina & CG - a county park.
Honeycomb TVA Park is about 25 miles southeast of the city, and Mallard Creek TVA Park is about 35 miles west.
We've stayed at Mallard Creek and have included it in our campground reviews.
We have found The Ultimate US Public Campground Project to be an excellent resource for locating public campgrounds of all types.
