We came down from Canada into the Northern Adirondacks and stayed at Cranberry Lake SP. Not sure how other SPs are, but this one was fairly tight for a smaller 5th wheel. No electricity at this SP and from what I understand many are the same. It was pretty and there were nice hiking trails around the park.
From there we went SE to Lake George. Stayed at Ledgeview Village RV Park and really liked it. It's well shaded and quiet even though it's not far from the hectic village of Lake George. It has FHUs. From Ledgeview we visited Fort Ticonderoga and also Saratoga for some horse racing. Saratoga has some rich history and the downtown area was very nice too.
