As stated, black fly season will be in full season. If you can come later in the summer you will enjoy your visit much more. As a local NYer, I will not go to the ADKS until end of June at least. If you need full hookups, you will need a private campground. NONE of the NYS or DEC parks in the ADK region have any hookups-not even electric. Beautiful place to go but know what you are doing.
