- gdreeseExplorerGot lost everyday. Write down your address as soon as you park and attach it to your bike. The biggest problem was when you decide to head back to camp you relize you are about two miles away. But if you need anything such as water, food, or a place to rest or sleep somebody will be offering those things to you before you get 100 yards. Most important things when you leave camp are goggles and dust mask (for the dust storms that kick up), and a cup to drink from.

Everything worked out fantastic. Water held out great, I have 90 gallon freshwater tank that will last us a month.
Did you have any problem getting lost at night when returning back to your rig? I looked at the photo here, had no idea the size of BM was on such a giant scale. - wbwoodExplorer

Wow ... that is REALLY conserving.
Our freshwater tank (little 24 foot Class C motorhome) is about 45 gallons, and we can only stretch this to one week ... and that includes using throwaway paper plates and bowls.
LOL...I was thinking the same thing....90 gallons a month....not very many showers, toilet flushing, and other things....nah...i'd just pay for some water....lol - garyhauptExplorer

Gary,
I just checked out your blog on the remodel.
We're in the middle of the same all summer ... cept we're having the pros do it and just camping out in the motorhome in the back yard. We built a lot of our house originally and we've lost too much of our mojo to get into it again ourselves ... it's much more fun surfing the Net out in the rig while we listen to someone else swing the hammers to redo what we did 37 years ago. ;)
Tell you what...the RV made this possible. Having the shower in the driveway. One of the biggest issues we face(d) was really poor workers. Poor craftsmanship, and just don't show up, or you can't even find someone to start a project. Can you believe it took 5..FIVE people to tape, mud, sand the bathroom to get it ready for paint? Everyone says...'oh, I can do that'...However, we are about done.
I am leaving next Saturday or Sunday..headed out for 6-8 weeks. To Alberta to visit a seeester, then to Calgary to pick up Sharon and then into Mt and Wy for 3 weeks. I'll drop the Red Head off in Missoula after 3 weeks and will start for home...s-l-o-w-l-y.

- LenSaticExplorerGeez, I went to Bisbee today to the Grand Opening of my wife's friend's jewelry store and there was a Red Dress Run going on, also. Bearded, tattooed, guys in red dresses running from bar to bar are more than enough for me!!!
I'm shooting coyote melon tomorrow! :)
LS - loggenrockExplorerFYI I understand they don't allow feather boas at Burning Man...worried about loose pink feathers blowing around the environment... I guess the impact of those thousands of people on the playa is negligible... ST

I live about seventy miles from the Black Rock Desert. That thing has been going on for more than 20 years, I have never been. There is no way I would subject my family to the degenerates that attend that "festival."
It's not a family atmosphere. And I find your name calling of "degenerates" very rude. No, i've never been there. And no, I will probably never go. But to call people names because they choose to do something or go somewhere on their own free will and possibly enjoy it, is shallow. Oops...didn't mean to call you a name like that. I apologize.
That's okay..I will..shallow.
