Apache Family Campground Myrtle Beach

Hello,

Due to illness and other issues we were not able to confirm a vacation date. My wife just found out she is off July 2nd through July 12th. We want to go to Myrtle Beach but every campground is full except for Apache Family Campground.

Has anyone stayed there recently? All the reviews in RV Park Reviews seem to be from last year.

They only have July 5th through the 12th open in the shaded section.

Other parks I tried with no openings:
Myrtle Beach KOA
Lakewood
Ocean Lakes
Pirateland
Myrtle Beach State Park
Huntingdon Beach State Park
Cyprus Campground

I am waiting to hear back from Willowtree Resort

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Dave
  • Book it BUT call the other places daily sometimes more than once a day. People cancel all the time. First one to be calling at the right time gets the spot. My guess is if you don't mind calling ever day for the next 3 weeks you will get a spot at one of the other nicer resorts on the beach(OL, Pirateland, Lakewood or MBTP)
  • We are spoiled with MBTP...but always walk to Apache via the beach... It's nice , not so much room close to the water , but spacious back in the shade....go for it ..

.honestly. Were I you. I would take it. Apache's bath houses are dated, But you really won't need them. We went there for 3 years in a row, and enjoyed it. The pier is great, and it is walking distance to MBTP, so it is also close to restaurant row Tanger, and Barefoot.

Apache also has the WIDEST beach, dunes to ocean of any CG at MB. Also have picnic shelters. Many of my friends won't go anywhere else. And the dunes are kind of low. So if you are close to the beach. You can see it from your windows. I'd take it in a heart beat. Especially since it is on the beach, and Willow Tree is not even close.
  • Good luck getting a spot. I think we took the last site at Myrtle Beach SP for those dates. It was the one loose end on our 3 week coastal trip. Sorry. :)

I would love to stay there but they are booked
  • Grapeful Sisters is a LONG way from everything, it is way in the boonies. We stayed there for two weeks last summer and had to do a lot of driving.

Try Grapefull Sisters Vineyard only us locals know about it. You can google it.

    Thanks! It looks very nice!

How long does it take to get to the beaches and to Restaurant Row?
