Approved fire devices at Ft Wilderness

Where can I get a propane fire device that's ok to use at Ft Wilderness. Seems like the approved ones are for wood only. DW would like a gasser to use for other sites as well where we may not be able to bring wood.
  • Propane ring units are found in places like Walmart and probably Amazon.
  • The only way to know whether outdoor fire-pits are allowed and what type is to call Ft Wilderness.
Many places have them including Amazon.

From what i've seen thus far, they have to be covered & screens all the way around to keep embers and sparks inside. But IMO those are for wood But as you stated will probly have to call for exact verification.
  • The propane rings do not need any screens as there is nothing burning but gas.

    One would think.

Did you open the PDF ? Disney shows a picture of an open propane campfire in the “not allowed” section.

As a former dealer for NewFrontier campfires, I think it’s stupid.

But open propane campfires are not allowed at Disney.
  • We just left the fort yesterday. I chuckled as I thought of their very specific handout of EXACTLY what is, and isn't acceptable, for burning wood and propane, as we walked and golf carted past fires going in "non-approved" enclosures. Not to mention the many folks I've seen, over the years, sitting in a circle, with brews in hand, watching the firewood fires they have roaring in their site's permanent BBQ grilles.
