We usually check out camps beforehand.
- Websites have pricing or you can email. Worst case give them a call.
- Google maps/Streetview, you can get an idea what the sites look like. Also handy if you have starlink to see if you have a clear view of the sky.
- Online reviews sites provide a lot of feedback on how the place is run or if there are surprises.
Not saying we've never arrived and been disappointed but if there are issues, we usually are aware of them before we pull in.
oh I do that also when I am booking for the 5th wheel. a lot of our provincial and national parks have pictures of the sites with dimensions and such on the web page so that is helpful also. with the camper I don't make reservations and we tend to camp mostly in forestry sites where a lot of the big rigs can't get to.
