If you're in the Bull Shoals area, then consider visiting Table Rock Lake. Simply a terrific place. Table Rock State Park (Missouri) is great, and the COE has several really nice CGs on the lake. Visit their visitor center at the dam and ask for the 'good' map that shows all the CGs.
Make sure to visit the Mo. state trout hatchery located just below the dam and feed the hungry trout ! The water that goes through the dam is from the bottom of the lake, so it is pretty cold. Trout are stocked into the outflow, (called Lake Taneycomo, but it's more like a river). Lake Taneycomo then flows into and becomes Bull Shoals Lake, which is mostly in Arkansas, and is another nice big lake.
It's a terrific area.
