Been using RV Park reviews to find a decent park south of Asheville, fairly close to the Biltmore. All of them, including the KOA, seem to have mediocre reviews with some getting poor marks. Since this is a high tourist area, it seems that there must be a decent park within a reasonable distance from the Biltmore. Does anyone know of a gem RV Park that is hiding in the area?Looking to spend a week in Mid-January.

KOA East in Swannanoa is where we stayed. They have some sites on the little river there which are backins. We liked it better than KOA West. Sadly, mot much to choose from in the area. Mama Gertie's is nice at your site, beautifully landscaped, but it's on the side of a mountain and walking is difficult if that's important to you.

May even have some snow in mid-January. One review talked about narrow steep roads getting to the park and narrow roads within but that has never bothered me at other locations that required driving on a narrow road.
