- tragusa3ExplorerWe had a great time! The leaves were just before peak. The weather was great...felt sorry for tenters though...it was cold overnight.
My first trip with the new Weber Q2200. I've got 6 other Webers and this one is as good as the others.
One of my boys split his first log! Age 10. He was really proud...worked it for a half hour without giving up. This shot is immediately after. - the_happiestcamExplorerWish I was there - go at least twice very summer.
- tragusa3ExplorerWe're here....it's raining leaves!
- RoyBExplorer IIWe have made the run out of Charleston many times heading up I26 to US76 at then get on US64 at Henderson and get into the Natl forest that way. Stayed at Davidison one time... Camped another time near Looking Glass (we frooze to death there as I recall it was late season)... Camped a couple of times on the Blue Ridge Parkway near there.. Another time we got run off somewhere in that area when the FEDS were looking for the famous run away DD COOPER type guy - forgot his name now... They FEDS told us this probably wasn't the place to be at this time haha
Never got to spend alot time in NC campgrounds... Saw alot of rafting down the rivers... Always had to get back home or still heading for ELKMONT CAMP in the Smoky Natl Park...
One of these day haha...

Double ditto. - RoyBExplorer IIMy problem is all my roads always go through Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mtns... Would be very hard to not stop there for at least a couple of days before heading for Cherokee country...
Roy Ken - tragusa3ExplorerDrive on down Roy...you'll be here in time for dinner! ;)

Need to hit more of NC Natl Forest camping... My OFF-ROAD POPUP camper would be right at home here...
Have visited a few of them on my work treks from SC to Gatlinburg to home in Virginia back in the day...
Always wanted to hitch up with WBWOOD or some of the NC campers and spend a few days...
