AZ sites and scenes?

Anyone with suggestions on things to do and see between Denver and Kingman, AZ (via I25 and I40)? We're on our way to Lake Havasu for a few days of fishing and water play sometime in the next month or so.
  • In addition to the two sites mentioned above, I'd suggest Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monument which is focused on a volcanic eruption and ancient Native American ruins. It's just north of Flagstaff on Hwy 89.

    Wupatki National Monument

Another fine site is Walnut Canyon which is just a little way outside of Flagstaff (South of I-40).

All of the sites mentioned above may have problems with accessibility in January if there has been significant snowfall. Check Arizona road conditions here:

  • Thanks, all. I'll get my wife to look thru this for options. For me, I'm afraid I'm kind of a destination-focused traveler. I stop for fuel - potty stops better coincide with fill ups! :)

Slow down. It's the Journey....Not...the Destination.
