Roy&lynne, The time of year you will be in DM area is very busy, but can usually get in if you are willing to boon dock for a couple of days. If we don't want to boon dock while waiting for a spot we usually stay at the Pima county fair grounds park. Kids live on easy side of Tucson so we stay close at either location.
That's what I was afraid of, but don't mind boondocking as we just usually like to do our shopping and laundry on base, and we just can't be on a schedule. Thanks for the info
