And then hope that the ADA will come down on them, not for your complaint, but just out of the general principle that if enough people complain there must be a problem. Nice abuse of a law.avan wrote:
ADA requires reasonable accommodation of the disability. Based on OP's description, what was requested was reasonable if the distance from the campsite to the gate could not be easily traversed by the HC person. In addition to posting to the various campsite review sites, formal ADA complaint should be filed with a copy to the CG and to KOA main office.
Double ditto. Definitely file a complaint with ADA, even you think it won't change this situation. Those complaints are indeed read and may be addressed in other ways. Definitely visit several campground review sites to rate this park. We like Campendium for reviews and TripAdvisor.com.
I have to say that not all KOAs have this kind of unfriendly staff. Several where we have stayed went above and beyond to help us with several situations. Good hospitality and friendliness goes a lot farther than many owners realize.
Just where should a business draw the line? Now an RV park must drive people around. How many trips does the park have to provide? Should they provide a full time valet? What if they can't drive and run out of rum, does the park have to go to the liquor store for them?
