Beach Camping in the East

With a group the size of yours, I'd want amenities too.
Anything on the NC Outer Banks with hookups will have a direct ocean view blocked by dunes (unless Matthew has taken them down :(). The KOA and Camp Hatteras in Rodanthe have soundside sites with a 300-400 yard walk to the ocean. Frisco Woods, further south below the Hattera Light, also has sites on the sound but the ocean is too far to walk to. I'm less familiar with the area between Emerald Isle and Wilmington but don't think there's anything there either.
If having your own private ocean front cabin that sleeps 12+ on an island with no permanent inhabitants for around $250/night (OBX private CG's will likely run $125+/night) has any appeal, check out this link and/or PM me for more info Portsmouth Island Cabins
