Understood. Mid-summer, I don't often have a fire. But, cooler months (I was thinking of going for Thanksgiving), it matters...
We stay at Ocean Lakes & will be there Thanksgiving they allow campfires. We do take a fire pit. Usually a few of the nights are not windy & sitting around the campfire with a nice drink with family is great !!!! Totally different campground than the summer months....... Lakewood has a pet size limitation so we have never tried there.....
