Huntington Beach State Park if you want quiet, Ocean Lakes if you want 'busy' stuff close by.
x2 When we were there, we picked HB because we wanted a degree of quiet. This was during spring break and we could still lay a towel out on the beach and not feel crowded. Some FHU. Much better spacing between sites, too. Zoom in on Google maps or the like and compare HBSP to Pirateland, Ocean Lakes, etc. and you'll see the difference. HB is also close to some wonderful dining options in Murrells Inlet. Atalaya, on the grounds of HBSP, is in interesting place to poke around when you tire of the beach.
