We have a 16G version, but it's not enough. I think 32G would be enough for us as long as we don't sync everything with iCloud. I wouldn't bother with more than 64G.
Thanks for the input.
I was thinking along the lines of at least 32G, but the price really skyrockets when adding internal memory over standard (I wonder why?). I'm thinking of going with the WiFi/+4G model just in case for RV trips - which jacks up the $$ even more.
I wish there was some way of storing movies on an iPad, but then playing them on a larger flatscreen TV in the RV. Can an iPad output video and audio to an external monitor? I'll be buying Apple's newest iPad - the Retina display iPad "AIR" - but am not sure yet on what it's output connector capabilites are.
Double-check before buying, but I think you can use this + an HDMI cable to connect the iPad to any HDTV:
Apple lightning digital AV adapter
Rather than pay a monthly line charge + the extra upfront cost to have 4G on your iPad, I recommend getting a WiFi hotspot that you can connect the iPad or anything else to. You will become everyone's best friend in the campground with one of those. We use ours all the time -- not just camping. Most of the time it's to connect a laptop.
Wow, Apple should start paying me because I feel like I'm selling iPads now :-)
