Although I am not a big TV or movie watcher, I understand why someone would want HD while camping.
Dan ... FWIW, I've been kindof a videophile home theater fan for 15 years or more. We've had a 16:9 screen ratio 58 inch bleeding-edge HD home monitor for TV/movies since back in good-old 1999 -> paid way too much for it back when I was not very $$-smart. My seven year old laptop even came with a 16:9 HD screen and Blu-Ray drive so I can watch HD quality video on it.
IMHO, HD resolution on-up, is the ONLY way to watch video. Why watch imitation life ("movies") images that are dumbed way down from the real life images around you every day? Doesn't make sense to me.
With that in mind, I try to watch HD as much as possible nowadays, including when camping out where the real view outside is - up to this point still - well beyond "HD". ;)
