Big Barrell Music Festival Update....

So I wasn't sure what to expect as far as the sites and how tight we could be packed in there. 50 amp with no water but the sites were big with plenty of room. Water trucks came around most of the day, 6 people in my camper so filled up twice at $40.00 a shot.

Festival was good and most shows we watched were good. Saturday it rained all day but stopped in time for the headliner. It was a muddy mess Saturday but ok back at the camper.

To sum it up, we had fun from Thursday till Monday morning, it was one of those bucket list things, probably won't do it again. Very expensive and even though we had fun not sure it was worth what we paid.

Blake Shelton was great, we were able to get 12 VIP tickets for his show and got right up front for only $80.00 total. Needless to say we couldn't find that guy the next two nights.

Music festivals, whatever kind of music you like, are great places for RVers. We've attended many festivals in our old travel trailer and our 5th wheels. In fact, we'll be attending 3 festivals this summer. Unfortunately most music festivals do not have hookups of any kind.

Double ditto. When we were younger we enjoyed a number of music festivals and could handle the boondocking aspect.

These days we need at least water and electric. We have found some private and state park cgs near enough to festivalsfor commuting; and they also were more quiet at the end of the day because festival goers weren't making noise far into the night. :W

  • Been to Jamboree in the Hills in ohio 3 times and it was a blast and can't wait for chance to go back. Difference there is all dry camping. Local fire co fills water for donations or everyone connects their hoses to get from very few water sites. Shows are always great and I don't mean just musicians....
