Big Barrel Country Music Festival....

We leave this Thursday morning and looking forward to it. Three of us following each other so we can park next to each other. Don't have a clue what to expect, asked all the questions I could think of. We've got a 50 amp hook but no water..... We can pay to have it dumped and fresh water filled.

From what I can tell it looks like a good time! This will be an adult weekend, all the kids are staying at home.
  • Sounds like a lot of fun. I did 4 nites at a music festival in Deleware last year. Total lot 12 guys ranging from 21 to 48. I'd love to do it again soon but sooo expensive!
  • Went to a Blue Grass Festival outside of Dixon MO

Probably 200 RV all stacked in on basically farm land. Some 30A 4 gang boxes.
    4 nights over Memorial Weekend.

Bands on stage all day and late into night. Impromptu jam sections at RV's
Lots of 'regulars' but we were fully welcomed and invited to join in regardless of what was going on.

CG site/music festival fees.........cheaper than we have paid for just some CGs
  • I did Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain NY two years ago and just came from CMA Fest in Nashville a few days ago. Both were great!

One piece of advice I learned, DON'T leave anything around of value including coolers with beer. Don't trust anyone, most people attending these events are not your typical RV campers.

Other than that ... ENJOY !!!
  • Looks good, we will be at our 2nd Cape Blanco festival this year. Blake Shelton will be there too. We won't have any hookups, but last year had just enough water for 3 people for 3 days.
