We live less about 5 miles from Blythe Island Regional Park. Although we've never camped there, we do take the Motorhome there for the day throughout the year and setup next to the beach on the lake. When the kids were younger, we'd go almost once a week. The campsites are large, a lot of them are pull thrus. The sites along the lake are all back in sites. It is very much like a state park. If we didn't live so close, we'd definitely camp there.
There is a boat launch and a boat ramp on the river. I've seen all types of combos launching boats on the ramp, you shouldn't have any problem. If for some reason you do have a problem, there are two boat ramps outside the park (within 2 miles of the park) that can easily accommodate you. I really don't think you'll have a problem. Folks launch 30+ foot boats on the river all the time. The lake is electric motor only, but even the lake's ramp has a long enough approach for your size.
