Branson - Silver Dollar City

All-

We are beginning to look at places to take our annual family vacation. One of the places we are considering is Branson - Table Rock Lake- Silver Dollar City. We like water sports and have kayaks so Table Rock Lake really interest us. We like to fish, swim and relax! For those of you who have been to that area or live there, what campgrounds do you recommend that is on the water but yet close to all the attractions of Branson? Your help will be greatly appreciated!!
  • Look at Table Rock State Park. You should be able to reserve what you want if you do it in Jan. This puts you close to Silver Dollar City, which is a good full day of activity. Branson will be about 10 minutes away, and if you go during June through Aug. it will be busy! For a family, there is something for everyone here. I highly recommend it! We've gone here off and on since 1983, Aug. of 2017 being our latest stay.

    X2
    I Did it once too.
IMHO Certainly not on my list for fishing, sports and fun.

IMHO Boring, no real attractions other than the shows, roads are narrow crowded, found silver dollar city a complete waste of my time and money and the entertainers at the shows in Branson now are all retired no names.

CG I stayed at was very nice. I ended up just staying at the CG everyday relaxing for the week I was there just resting up for my next trip to somewhere more interesting.

Yet many other RV'ers still like to go there. :C
  • I would not get a campground IN Branson. I stayed in one campground on table rock years back. used to fish that lake/bull shoals, etc. often.
    bumpy
  • Just a slightly different view....I LOVE Branson! We spent a month their last year and went to 25+ show's in 30 days. That was the month of Oct.....Busy and crowd's are relative, it was not an issue for us!

I cannot suggest a lake front campground as we stayed at a commercial RV Park(Ozark Country RV)....excellent campground in all other aspects.
