Another vote for Branson's Lakeside Camping--owned by town of Branson. Nice, level full-hookup sites just a block from Bass Pro and Branson Landing. We stayed on a waterfront site in July. Loved being on the water but had no shade. Sites along the back side of the campground had lots of shade. Free Trolley takes you throughout downtown Branson and stops in the campground about every 30 min. Best part of staying here is the location. You can easily avoid the traffic along the strip by crossing the bridge to Hollister and circling around to the SW to go to School of the Ozarks (best food in Branson), spend an afternoon at Top of the Rock--a spectacular resort, golf course, tours trough the woods and a cave, first class restaurants and a Smithsonian class museum of Natural History. You can easily spend a day here. Be sure to stay to watch the bagpipe concert and shooting of the Civil War era cannon at sunset on the patio overlooking Table Rock Lake in front of the restaurants. Also be sure to take in a Bible based show at the sight and sound theater. Amazing staging and family entertainment.
All of this first class entertainment and relaxation gave us a whole new perspective on what Branson has to offer. We will go back I'm sure.
