CA National Forests closed for two weeks

Camp Edison is a private campground operated by Southern California Edison. Forestry Campgrounds are closing. Going to Camp Edison next week and received an email from them confirming this.
The Drought is bad here but the timing of the closures is bad too as I'm sure all the campgrounds were booked in advance.

I've only camped at Shaver once, but it was pretty dramatic even when conditions were good. Didn't a bunch of people get stuck up there during the fires last summer? I don't think I'd want to be there right now.
By contrast, we were there two summers ago for the Fourth of July when so many of the trails were closed because there was still too much snow. We had a blast roosting each other in the snow on the open trails. We also cleared all the trees we could clear ourselves to open up more trails. It was quite a week.
And how about that story from a week or so ago where the woman accidentally put her RZR in gear and drove off Baldy? That's the stuff of nightmares.
