Calabash, NC camping

We are looking for recommendations on camping around the Calabash, NC area. We would like to go there for vacation next year. Has anyone stayed in or around that area? Any reviews, opinions, or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. We've looked at Seamist camping and Rv resort in Shallott, NC. Has anyone stayed there? We would prefer full hookups. Thanks again...

  • Daddy Joe's Jellystone in Tabor City (30-40 minute drive) is a hidden gem. We always make a daily drive over & eat & wife likes the little shops. Great campground.

  • We have stayed at "Grapeful Sisters" in the past. It is a fairly new campground located in a vineyard. It honors just about all discount plans. It may be too far away for you but worth a look. It's about 30 miles from Calabash and 17 miles from North Myrtle Beach. http://www.grapefullsistersvineyard.com/carrollwoods.html
  • There are not a lot of choices there but Brunswick Beaches Resort is a nice place. The prices are a little high (54) per night but it is by far the best place anywhere close by and has full hook ups and a pool. It is located at Sunset Beach so a short drive to Calabash. We stayed there a few years ago when it was a KOA and then the year after they went private.
