Camp Ground Near South Bend IN

So my dear wife just informed me that for my birthday she got us two tickets to ND game in September 2020. Any recommendations for a park near South Bend? We have a 38 foot travel trailer and will be coming out from NY.

    KOA Granger requires 3 night stay for ND home games, at least a few years ago they did.

    Potato Creek is great place but need to book 6 months ahead they book up on all weekends

    St Joseph County fairgrounds is close by

    Well ND is playing Central Michigan if that makes it any better!!!

    We stayed at Granger KOA in 2018. The distance to ND campus is about 10 miles. Driving time to ND campus was 20 minutes in normal (not game day) traffic.

    Not sure why you would want to watch nd but, places fill up early on home game weekends.

    Potato Creek state park is another good option if you want more nature and elbow room. Very nice park and 28 min to Notre Dame.

    Elkhart Campground right off the interstate would work. Also the KOA in Granger would be a bit closer, but neither is far away. Both would be open then.
