Camp ground laundries

Having had lots of laundromat experience (college, bachelor, traveling, camping, etc)...all of them can be - "interesting."

But, it's all part of the adventure.

When we purchased on new fiver the wife insisted on a washer and dryer. The facilities in the campgrounds we've used had a lot to be desired. Also, it's so much easier to do the laundry in the RV.

Best idea the wife had.

Crappy laundromats can be anywhere. So far the quality Campgrounds that cater to travelers instead of locals have been good.

I find the pet debris left in washers/dryers the most offensive. Rarely will you find a machine that doesn't need to be cleaned/sanitized.

Wife has never experienced a problem with the park laundry machines. We can put a washer/dryer in out trailer but wife prefers to use the camp's laundry because she can use several machines at once and get it done much quicker.

We full-timed for 16 years and used the town laundries and have NEVER found them to be dirty. These 'horror' stories are passed down and embellished in my opinion. Pick a laundry in a decent part of town and you will not have a problem.

The washers wash and rinse the clothes. Commercial washers have multiple rinse cycles.

At your house do you put your dirty underwear, vomiting clothes or work clothes in your washer? Do you sanitize your washer afterward?

The clean clothes are put into the dryer. How can the dryer be dirty if they dry clean clothes?

We are very particular and clean people. We have absolutely no qualms about public laundries.

We always found that town laundries have personnel working in them.

"Wide"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Methinks you better pray that doesn't get read by you know who!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we never ran into such issues.
