We stayed last year in the "older" section of the park which is tight and doesn't have much to recommend it beyond proximity to the park. It's not bad, I just wouldn't rave about it. It gave us a spot and a hookup and what more do we need? We wanted to be a few minute walk to the park with early admittance - and we were. It's certainly not the cheapest campground but you are getting discount tickets, not paying for parking, and early admission.
It was great because not only does it put you in early - but you enter around the center of the park so you can somewhat beat the rush as people race to the "big ticket" rides.
The midday walk back to the camper for a/c and lunch was wonderful too. We will splurge on treats - it's a vacation after all - but there is a savings in not paying $$$ for a basic meal of a hot dog or sub. (CP food prices, like most captive audience venues, are outrageous).
I highly recommend it if only for proximity to the park.
