- ken56ExplorerYes,Riverside is a nice park. We have stayed there also. Your options are limited in the Dandridge area so it all depends on if you care to stay a few miles away. You can look in Newport also, about 14 mi away down I-40 past Dandridge.
- sdianel_-acct_cExploreranother option 14 miles away in Sevierville we liked Riverside RV Park & Resort. Reasonable rates, Christian campground which means peace and quiet. Located at the north end of Sevierville near I-40 or you can take TN Route 139 to Dandridge. Near shops, restaurants and tourist stuff. We chose a site in the "back" which was a long level pull thru no trees so we could get satellite. Warning: they strictly enforce park rules and the 5mph speed limit which was ok with us.
- ken56ExplorerIts called Sherman Oaks campground. It is a Passport America member. Reg rate is listed at 36, 18 for passport members. Google is your friend in this search.
- ken56ExplorerAnchor down is a brand new campground and it is VERY nice. some areas are still under construction tho. cheapest site is $49 I believe so if budget is a concern it could be prohibitive. Another option is just past swanns marina on 25w/70, I forget the name right now, but it is nowhere near the quality of Anchor Down. The problem with campgrounds in the Dandgrige area is they are mostly long term lease sites. There is one jsut south of doewn town called The Point Marina BUT,IF YOU COME FROM THE NORTH THRU TOWN THERE IS A VERY NARROW BRIDGE OVER THE LAKE, AND I MEAN NARROW TOO. AN RV WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PASS BY ANOTHER VEHICLE COMMING THE OTHER WAY. Good luck in your search.
- Phil___StephieExplorerAnchor Down, just opened in March. Beautiful RV resort.
