Campground Near Savannah/I-95

A nice Georgia State Park that is just south of Savannah in Richmond Hill and is quite close to I-95 is Fort McAllister State Park. Sites have water and electricity, and the park has a dump station. It could be a good option.

You might look at Creekfire RV Resort. Creekfirerv.com . Just west of I-95 on hwy 204 near Savannah. They’re new so everything is new looking. We plan to stop here next time thru. Price is about the same as Jasper. There are a few cheaper options near Brunswick if you can stop there instead.

While we didn't stay at Camp Jasper we just drove through it while staying at Tybee Island/Savannah just over a week ago. We had some friends staying there and wanted to visit them on our way home from Florida. It's not far from exit 8/I-95 and seems like a nice clean campground.

I vote for Camp Jasper in Hardeeville... easy in and out, clean and I got a pull through that I didn't even have to unhook from truck. site was paved and level.

North of Savannah, 33 miles into SC, is Point South KOA. It's immediately adjacent to I-95 and has plenty of pull-thru sites. That's usually our stopping point.

There is a KOA just south of Savannah ON 95. Been there many times. Good folk, close to truck stops also. When we are returning from Florida we always stay there.

Red Gates Farms in Savannah is a good choice with a good location near a major interstate. Nothing really fancy. Certainly good for a overnighter.

Just north of Savannah are 2 options:

Thousand Trails has the The Oaks at Point South - it's kinda dumpy but if you're a TT member, the price is right. Though, I did have to back out of my narrow pull-thru due to tree placement.

Across the street is the Point South/Yemessee KOA.
