Campground Roundup for Washington, DC

I often see questions about visiting Washington, DC. The most recommended is Cherry Hill, which is a great park and great location. There are other options in the area, though.

I tried to write-up a "campground roundup" of the various options with a tidbit about each.

Any thoughts on any of these?

  • Doug,
If you like full hookups, then Cherry Hill is for you. Last year, I stood at Greenbelt National Park. They have sites for larger rigs like yours in the back. I kinda liked the "boondocking" experience. Of course, I was camping alone and visiting friends, so I didn't need the full hookups. And, I used the free showers that were there.
