- Parrothead_MikeExplorerHave used RV Park Reviews.com as a reference as well as posted as a reviewer. They have rules regarding reviews, but if you read the rules it's easy to follow. In one instance I gave an outstanding review for a campground in Big Stone Gap, VA, but I accidently posted the owners first name (because he was such a great guy) and they didn't allow it. Meh. No big deal. I can learn to do it right next time.
I like RV Park Reviews because it has all the info I need: the park's website, a map of the park location with Google Maps type overheads, individual ratings & reviews. I've found that by reading most reviews there is some valuable info as well as personal beefs that may or may not be helpful. It's not too hard to sort out the disgruntled campers from those posting valuable info.
I don't used Woodall's anymore because when I used to have one of their guides I noticed all the advertising and that didn't help me as much as RV Park Reviews.com. - rockhillmanorExplorerThe one internet CG search that I really liked WAS the one on the woodalls web site. Started using that all the time UNTIL.......Good Sam got a hold of it and deleted it. :R

Allstays.com app serves up a better job and even exceeds most; combined with Trip Advisor I can come up with a Plan A, B or C. Woodalls is still useful for quick finds and providing an idea of what is available. - dewey02Explorer IIAnother vote for allstays app. Beats the pants off anything else I've looked at.
- pawattExplorerI believe I have about 100 honest reviews both good & bad posted on www.rvparkreviews.com and never had one edited or deleted. We use that as well as RVPARKY.com and Allstays. The Good Sam RM GPS is good as well but not all campgrounds are listed.

They actually have several apps: look for the one with Camping in the title. I'm toying with the idea of getting the Allstays app for finding truck plazas too. It would save time searching for the locations of truck plazas on our longer expeditions. We hope to cruise Canada this coming year on a long journey, east to west. I'll have to see if they cover Canadian tps as well. - rockhillmanorExplorer

Thanks for the tip on the Allstays app.
After looking at this app it sure DOES
look to be a real winner for RV'ing.
Take a look at ALL what comes with this app, amazing! Everything you need all in one place!
Thanks, guess you 'can' teach an old dog new tricks! :C
https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=AllStays - LaurenExplorerWe are currently in our 173rd different rv park - many several times....16 years part time RVing.
That being said, here is what I do going to a new area. I go to RV Park Reviews first....throw out the high and the low and anything over 2 years old. Then call a couple - amazing how decisions can sometimes be made by how you are treated over the phone.
Then I post on here for suggestions. I LOVE this Forum and I have come to know people who are upfront and honest - most of them - and those who's opinion I just toss. And some have become good friends on here and some later have even met.
I truly like RVPark Reviews and have twice had them reject my initial first comments on a place. I don't like dishonesty from anyone place of business (or anyone for that matter) and I ripped them for that. I rewrote and it still was too much I guess so did it a third time after a couple of days when I had calmed down. It was posted.
You know what? They were right in their rejection of my first two potential postings - they were written in anger and frustration and needed time to state the same thing in reasonable terms. I realize that now.
A lot of these others will tell you where the parks are but not that much about them....but some, I admit, are good; just not personal info that I like.
I have only had 4 parks I have had major issue with - all involving honesty. One still owes me money after many years...near Zion (not in Springdale). Others in Moab (now new ownership and going back there), Woodbury, Mn, and recently in Kelso, WA.
Bottom line for me ---- RV Park Reviews and this forum.
Be safe. - wbwoodExplorer

Hi,
Google maps.
Here is the "string"
campground loc:town name, state/province
This is what I've been doing as well. Except I just do it by the state. Then follow up on particular parks with RV Park Reviews. Doing it this way, you will see some places not listed elsewhere. Maybe for good reasons...lol but it's good to see what is actually out there. - magnusfideExplorer II

Yep, I'm right there with you on that. Allstays looks like it's listened to comments from RVers all these years and incorporated them into a usable app. I'm glad to have found them.
