We are on Long Island and looking for a campground about 3-4 hours away from NYC for next summer. We have 3 campers but also need a cabin rental that is pet friendly.Campsite and cabin must have water, electric and sewer.Campsite and cabin must be dog friendly.Must be a variety of activities for kids and adults in and around the campground. There are 4 boys age 8-11 who love sports. Also 2 couples around 40 who don't have kids as well as grandparents who would enjoy a night at a casino but the casino isn't a dealbreaker.We've been to Lake George RV Park and Normandy Farms and these sure fit the bill. We'll probably go back to both of these parks but want to try somewhere else first so we're looking for ideas.I'd love to go south or west of NYC but that's not a dealbreaker. I'm also open to expanding my 3-4 hour radius but not by too much since it takes an hour and a half just to get away from NYC.

You are an optimist on the hour and half. Hour and a half on the Cross Bronx sometimes. But a little over 4 hours from GWB is Turning Stone Casino AND RESORT Exit 33 NYS Thruway.Closer in is the Delaware water GAp at the west end of NJ I80https://www.nps.gov/dewa/planyourvisit/developed-campgrounds.htmDo not know about cabins

Pet friendly camping cabins might be tough to find... not aware of any.Mike

Frontier Town in Maryland also has pet friendly cabins and that's a place that looks like it may fit the bill for us.

The Herkimer Diamond KOA ,in Herkimer NY, is a great family spot. The kids can go to the quarry and hunt for Herkimer diamonds or take a rubber tube and float down the river that is on the back side of the campground, lots of activities. They have theme cabins too. Great pool and the staff is friendly. This isn't an advertisement, just giving credit where it is due.

Twin Grove in Pine Grove, Pa. About 3 hours from NYC and they have pet friendly cabins and tons of activities. Casino about 15 minutes away.

Promised Land State Park ,Pickeral Point has one loop of full hookups and they have cabins. Dogs are fine in the campground, not sure about the cabins. There is a small beach at the end of the loop and the bath houses are new. It's between I-80 and I-84 in north eastern Pa.

Forgot about the Watkins Glen KOA which is loaded with amenities, might be worth looking into also. :C

Looking at both web sites, seems they only allow pets in cabins without sewer.

FWIW, Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville (just east of Syracuse). Swimming, frisbee golf, hiking, walking, canoes, golf, Turning Stone Casino nearby, etc. Have to reserve thru Reserve America (I think) 9 months in advance. Newly expanded RV sites w/ full hook ups, cabins (cannot recall if they have sewer or water).

Jellystone Lazy River Gardiner, NY (believe some cabins pet-friendly)
Promise Land State Park PA (no pets in cabins)
Peaceful Valley Campground (not sure on pets there)
Pleasant Acres Campground Sussex, NJ (pet-friendly cabins)

Going to be a tall order to find cabins and full hookups and pet-friendly....

There are several in the Roscoe, NY area. Butternut CG, Peaceful Valley, Oxbow, Roscoe CG. and Beaverdell. About 80 miles from LI.

I only have one ore trip through NYC this year and it usually is about 10 AM crossing the GWB out to Manorville and back through at about 7 PM. Never good.
