we are looking for a campground in the Richmond Indiana area. Would like full service with 50 amp if possible. Pull through would be nice.
Thanks
we stayed at Grandpa's a few years back...we liked it..Chuck - imadtchmnExplorerWe stayed at the KOA on Cart Rd. New owners and very friendly. Escort to site and will check to see if you need anything at all. Great people. Clean showers and yard.
- camperforlifeExplorerNatural Springs Resort just across the line in New Paris Ohio is popular but sites are a little tight. Pull through sites are available. Probably the quietest as far as road noise goes but you will have a high number of seasonals and their golf carts.
Grandpas Farm has 30 amp pull through but I think 50's are back in. Sits right on a state highway with a lot of dumptruck traffic during the day. Almost no truck traffic at night.
Deer Ridge has 50's but not sure if they are pull through. Sits fairly close to the interstate but noise will be more of dull drone in the distance. Has the best "country" setting.
There is also a decent KOA on Cart Rd. Sits right on the interstate and you will hear the traffic.
All these have been around for quite some time and ratings should be easy to find and all have positive local reputations. Each are also in safe neighborhoods. All are within 15 minutes of each other and within the same driving distance for shopping & restaurants. Richmond is also home to Tom Raper RV's, one of the largest in the country.
If you need any other local info or attractions let me know. - sdianel_-acct_cExplorer
