- texastoyhaulerExplorerWe've stayed at Primrose RV, and it's just as the previous poster stated. You do need to watch that first step our of your RV unless they have leveled everything off. I would go back. While hotel rates double and triple on football weekends, the rate at Primose was only $5 higher. We've also stayed at Holiday RV Park. Very clean. I believe road construction on the area is completed, so you have an easy in and out now. Holiday RV is the closest park to the football field, and fills up fast. If they take reservations, I would bet they are full for the 2013 season. There is another park, relatively new in the area. Aggieland RV park. I have not stayed there, but have passed it several times. Its just off Highway six. It's been open for about 4 years i think. It fills up for football weekends. If I was going to a game, (I am an Aggie fan) my choices of those three parks in order would be 1) Holiday. 2) Aggieland. 3) Primrose. The first two on account of proximity and they are true rv parks. Primrose is further from the field, but not that far. It's not a true RV park. But I would not hesitate to stay there again. Good luck, have fun. Gig'em Aggies.
- granny_6ExplorerThank you all so much for the information.
Helped us very much!! - dkreuzenExplorerLast year we stayed at Holiday RV Park in College Station for a few days. Nice place.
- westernrvparkowExplorerLots of luck. There may not be a college town with a worse selection of parks. Most of the parks there are the pits, though some are much worse. Do yourself a big favor and park far, far away and drive in for the game and either book an overpriced hotel room or have a designated driver and drive back to your rig.
- TwomedExplorerOur group stayed at Somerville Lake southwest of town. Choices in town are slim and booked way ahead. We drove in in toad, light tailgating. On campus moho parking was a loooong way away we found out later. Parking and traffic was well handled. Lots of "howdies"...this could easily become the most visiting fan friendly school in the SEC. Go in early, the team walk and the cadet review march are pretty impressive. Cleanest campus, before and after in the SEC. We had a great time.
Go Gators :) :) - herewerExplorerGood Morning,
There are not many close parks to choose from.
We stayed at Primrose Lane when we went to visit our son in College Station. It is closer to Bryan and is a bit off the freeway so is more quiet then the one right on Highway 6. It is a modular home park that has rv sites.
We had full hookups and a long concrete site. The small grassy area just outside our door was very low in comparison to the concrete so you need to be careful where you park on the pad. We could not get our sewer and electric to reach and still be able to step out of the rv onto solid ground. Since the sewer connection was the least important to us, we positioned so we could reach the power and step out well.
While perhaps not perfect I would go back. They do have nice restroom/shower facilities if you want them. They are very roomy and clean. The pool was not useable when we went, they were emptying it to do some work on it.
