Campgrounds in / near Pittsburgh, PA

Looking for a campground that is near bus service into Pittsburgh or close enough that we can get a Uber car ride into downtown.
We'd be there on a Saturday.
Does the casino downtown allow overnight parking?
Any other large parking areas where we could park and take a tour bus?
It looks like Station Square has parking and metro. Is that accurate?
Thank you!
  • It's really hard for RVers to visit Pittsburgh because there aren't any campgrounds near the city. We lived in Pittsburgh for about 40 years and now that we're fulltimers we go back to visit at least once a year. Finding overnight parking is a problem for us. A few friends have driveways large enough for our little RV but most of the time we stay in Walmart or other big box stores. None are convenient to the city but I'm sure some are on the bus line.

The downtown casino has a garage but doesn't have a lot as far as I know. We have parked at Station Square but this site http://www.ppgpublicparking.com/is showing RV parking in the Strip District (we've parked here for the day) and North Shore lots only. Both are on a tour bus route - http://www.pghtours.com/ I don't believe you'll be able to stay overnight.

What are your plans for your visit? Have a good time!
