Campgrounds in/near Reno?
Heading from BC to Reno in Sept. Anyone have campground suggestions in/near Reno? Are casino CGs as good as any? We're northerners and used to lots of trees. Is there such a thing as a CG there ...

Our home base is Reno and the first thing I would ask is what are you looking to do in the Reno/Sparks area?
If it is 'Casinos' you have options with the GSR Casino a favorite parking lot to stay at.
Sparks Marina is nice and only a short distance a favorite of ours, Western Village Hotel & Casino. The 'Steak House' is one of the best in town, in our opinion 5 star.
In any case if you want to be close to the downtown things eiher of the above are fine.
If you want to be away from all the hustle & bustle yet only a 15-20 min. drive away our choice is Gold Ranch in Verdi just West of town. They have a small casino, good restaurant, fuel, nice sites with FU's and great views of the Sierra's.
