Campgrounds Near DC Metro
I would like to spend a couple of days visiting Washington, D.C. on our way home from Florida. What is a good campground near a Metro station?

It's a very nice park, but it's more like a half hour (or more) away from the end of either the Blue or Yellow METRO lines. Good location for visiting Mount Vernon, but it's not as well-located for downtown DC as the other options discussed in this thread.
I agree. I like Pohick bay as well although they need to upgrade their electric. There is a low voltage issue with the 50 amp sites.
Like most of the other DC area CG's, Pohick bay is a bit cheaper than the tourist favorite Cherry Hill. If you are familiar with DC Pohick is a viable option. If you are not already familiar with the area, Cherry Hill is a better, more centralized, more tourist friendly option
