Campgrounds near Washington D.C.?

Just came from Cherry Hill. Tried driving into DC once. 6:30 AM took 40 minutes in to White House area. Trip back from Dulles Air and Space was 35 miles 1 hour 50 minutes at 3 PM. Rest of time we took the bus and Metro.

Stay at Cherry Hill and buy the SmarTrip card.

BTW, it's much cheaper to take the Metro. Cheapest all day parking I found was $16
