For hurricane Irma, we went to AL to keep our trailer and my father safe. Expecting 15' of storm water surge at our house, we fully expected to be living in our 23'TT for a year or two during rebuilding.
The people at cypress lake rv park in Dozier couldn't have been nicer.
" You don't need a reservation, if you get here, we'll find a space for you ". It is a fairly new park, on lake Gant.
I wouldn't call it woodsy,but we will certainly go back.
It is pretty far out in rural AL. If you want to be close to anything bigger than a very small town, this isn't it.
Worth a look to see if it fits your needs.
