Camping in Rhode Island or Connecticut

I have been searching also for a while, so am curious to see what others have to say. We always wanted something close to the water, but the only one I found and stopped by years ago in RI was extremely cramped. Rigs were so close that awnings were overlapping; not exactly my idea of "getting away from it all".
