CAMPING IN VA ON THANKSGIVING

Question

I am having a hard time finding a state park or Army corps of engineers park that is either open or has availability for Thanksgiving. Does anyone have any suggestions? The couple we are going with has a 40 foot trailer, so that also limits us.

Chippokes Plantation State Park

North Bend Park (COE) on Kerr stays open, and They should be able to handle a 40. ,Fairystone state park also.

James River state park stays open until the last weekend in November.  I was not aware that North Bend was open at that time.  I thought they closed at the end of October

At North Bend park (coe) Part of "b" section is open in the winter. Electric only. First come, first served. Honor system.
