mockturtle has me jealous; have not been over there in years. We left home 3 days ago and came from Tucson area to Indio, CA for a month. It will be an away from home and everyone we know for the first time. Children are a long ways away - Minnesota and daughter in London. And we are NOT going back to MN in the winter! For many years, when we lived in CO, we always had "homeless" in for dinner on Thanksgiving and Christmas - "homeless" was other couples like us who otherwise would be alone. Last few years we have had friends in and all.
But we love this RV life so bailed out this year. The RV park has a huge Christmas Eve potluck dinner where they supply turkey, ham and major items. We don't know a soul here but have met a few people. We will go to this; though it is out of the norm for us.
All of us are truly blessed - some more than others of course - to have this great lifestyle and, for some of us, the freedom to just go and do as we darn well please. We can all be thankful for that!
So, Merry Christmas everyone !
