- profdant139Explorer IIWe recently stayed at Meadowcliff in Coleville, not far from Topaz -- excellent facilities, great for an overnight or for fishing nearby. Very quiet and clean.
- aerbus32Explorer IIActually, a year ago to the day we were in the area. Coming back from Convict Lake, I wanted to visit a campground that I had used many years ago when fishing Lake Crowley - Lake Crowley RV park. Though I like the convenience of the fairgrounds, I had forgotten that my intention next trip was to stay at the aforementioned Lake Crowley RV park. Unfortunately, probably won't. Website indicates they are don't offer 50 amp service.
- aerbus32Explorer IIIn Bishop, the fairgrounds is definitely the best game in town. Great BBQ place essentially across the street also.
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerBishop RV Park in Bishop is at the fairgrounds. Clean level and reasonable price. www.bishoprvpark.com

When you drive through Bridgeport, be mindful of your speed. It is not a speed trap, there have been several problems arise in town with all the travelers speeding trough town and RVs are very easy to spot and stop. Take a look at the back in angle parking as you drive through town. I don't know anyone who has figured that out yet and I worked in the traffic industry for over thirty years. It's just plain weird.

We just came through Bridgeport last week and noticed the back in parking. You're right...that's just plain weird. All vehicles were pointing out into the street, so I assume they do it this way so that no one has to back out of the parking spot into the traffic.
We always just creep through there....
For the op, the only places we've stayed along 395 is Mammoth Mtn rv park..$50 plus $5 for dog and at Lee Vining at the MonoVista rv park. It was cheaper (about $30 and adequate.

- D_E_BishopExplorerWhile we don't RV in the area, we are second home owners in Mammoth Lakes and have heard a lot about Bounder Creek being a good place to stop overnight or longer. You did not mention Reno or fuel, I will add in Reno there is a campground on 395 within view of Hwy 50 and next to COSTCO. Best prices for gas are COSTCO and the two ARCO stations in Gardnerville and Minden, fill up at one of those. if possible. Mammoth Lake as mentioned via a clicky is in a great recreational area and our second home.
My one admonition is to drive a little slower than else where. Walker Canyon is not bad but is can be tricky. There are pulloffs and you should be careful to use them. If you want info on attractions in the area, post your interest and when you'll be there and time table. If you post, PM me and I'll be sure to read and reply.
David - tpiExplorerW/ elec: Lone Pine Boulder Creek. Nice place, some shade.
Bishop: Browns near golf course, some shade, grass, no sewer at site.
Mammoth Lakes: Mammoth Mountain RV park. Gets mixed reviews. Two sections, I've stayed in the asphalt parking lot section with water/elec. Fine for what it is.
Mono Lake: Mono Vista RV park Lee Vining. Water/electric sites, I liked it. Some shade.
Verizon data worked at all of them. - n7bsnExplorer

Boulder Creek was certainly a nice stop for us. The next stop north was Topaz Casino and RV "Resort". While not as nice, it was one of the best deals we had
In Topaz what kind of hookups?
Full hookups...30-50amp.
Wi-Fi, cable TV
$20 per.
We like, best in the area, and have stayed multiple times.
